GENERAL TERMS AND CONDICTIONS
Rapid Movers and Freight accepts goods for carriage only upon these terms and conditions:
If Rapid Movers and Freight limited notices that goods are not safe to transport or insufficiently packaged and may cause potential damage to either the item being moved or other items, including the vehicle, the company reserve the right to reject acceptance of the item/s.
The company withholds the right to delay the customer’s job by 2 hours due to any unforeseen circumstances without waiving any charges. Should the service be delayed more than two hours the customer will be informed and will then come to a mutual decision at company’s discretion
The Customer will not give to the movers for packing, removal or storage:
Any article or substance which is, or is likely to be, of a dangerous, corrosive, inflammable, explosive or damaging nature, or anything likely to encourage vermin, bora, or any other pest, Jewellery, watches, trinkets, precious stones or metals, money, deeds, securities, stamps, coins or goods or collections of a similar kind.
Any Prohibited or stolen goods, drugs/medicines, aerosols, paints, firearms and ammunition. Any animals and their cages or tanks including pets, birds or fish.
The Customer will notify the Rapid Movers and Freight if there is not suitable and convenient access to the place from which the goods are to be removed. The Contractor may make an extra charge due to any access restrictions and will not be liable for any goods damaged through the lack of such access. Its customer’s responsibility to provide good, safe and secure parking/access/driveway/stairs/lifts/pathway etc. to the property for truck and movers. If the truck receives a parking infringement (ticket) during the course of completing your move, the cost will be passed on to the client.
Misconduct and unacceptable behaviour with any staff member(s) may result in customer’s booking being terminated at the company’s discretion.
RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY:
It shall be the responsibility of the Customer to arrange insurance for the Customer goods for ‘all-risks’ so as to impose no liability on The Company. The Customer must not store any items which are irreplaceable and/or extremely valuable.
The company accepts no responsibility for any loss of or damage to goods stored in the storage unit no matter how arising including any loss or damage due to Fault on the part of The Company.
The goods are stored at Owners Risk and the responsibility of The Customer, who shall be responsible for any and all theft, damage to and deterioration of goods and shall be the risk of any and all damage caused by flood or fire or leakage or overflow of water, heat spillage of material from any other storage unit, removal and delivery of the goods, pet or vermin or any other reason whatsoever including acts or omissions of The Company or persons under its control.
The Customer shall be liable to The Company for making good any damage to the Unit caused by the Customer or anyone acting through the Hirer, any other unit and any other part of the premises. The Customer shall comply with all relevant laws applicable to the use of the Unit and to the goods stored in the Unit. The Customer shall be solely liable for any breach and all costs resulting from that breach.
ESTIMATE AND QUOTES
Rapid Movers and Freight accepts goods for carriage only upon these terms and conditions:
For all house/office moves and furniture relocation and general freight movement, where prices are quoted based on information provided by the customer. Rapid Movers and Freight Company reserves the right to modify prices as a result of incorrect volume, dimension and/or weight or access conditions e.g., stairs or balcony varying to those quoted by the customer at the time of booking.
Additional charges may also be incurred for redirection, multi route, additional labour not requested, storage etc. There will be an extra charge of $ 50.00 for each item for any extra heavy, oversized item such as spa pool, piano, pool tables, gym equipment’s, machinery or any commercial items etc. So, its customer’s responsibility to inform in prior if the move includes any item of such or similar nature.
The quote is no longer valid after the date of its expiry, once the quote is expired new quote can be requested.
CARRIAGE AND LIABILTY
‘All goods are packed and moved at Owner’s Risk’
Rapid Movers and Freight only hold Public Liability Insurance. Insurance is included with the quoted rates covering Public Liability.
Goods are not insured while in transit, this means that as the carrier, we have no obligation to pay compensation if goods are lost or damaged during transit or in case of accident.
For a more comprehensive cover, please contact your own insurance company. If you are not insured, please call us to discuss further options Rapid Movers and Freight insurers will manage acceptable claims. All claims will be forwarded onto our insurer’s office with relevant supporting documentation. Any claim must be lodged in writing within 24hours of the occurrence of damage or loss. Claims submitted outside this time will not be accepted.There is no liability for damage if goods have pre-existing damage, inherent damage/vice or where the damage has resulted from insufficient packaging. There will be no liability for damage to owner packed goods. If any glass or fragile item breaks unless factory packed or electrical appliances fail to operate after transit the company does not take any liability.
There will be no liability for third party damage – i.e., in the event of an accident where the other party is found at fault, the carrier will not be liable for goods damaged in transit. In this case the customer must claim directly off the insurance company of the other party.
In accordance with the Carriage of Goods Act, your claim will only be processed once complete payment of move has been received and acknowledged.
PAYMENTS
50% of the payment is to be made in advance on the date the quote is accepted by the customer. Full payment is to be made on completion of the job, or within three (3) days of job and/or invoice date by agreement. If the full payment is not made when required then a late fees of $50.00 + GST applies after every 24 hours.

Online payment/ Bank Transfer, made to account 12-3046-0031180-00
Cash or Cheque
Credit Card – to be made over the phone or in our office following your move – but please note that a merchant fee based on 3.5% of the invoice amount will be added. We reserve the right to impose penalty charges and/or collection costs for unpaid or overdue accounts. All defaulting accounts will be forwarded to third party debt collectors at defaulter’s expense.
CANCELLATIONS
If customer wants to cancel the move due to any reason $100.00 cancellation fee applies, rest of the advance payment made by customer will be refunded within 48 hours. If any cancellation is done from our end due to any reason full payment will be refunded- no cancellation fee applies. All the communication is to be submitted to us in writing (email).
